What You Can Expect

  • General Dentistry
Maintain optimal oral health with our general dentistry services. From routine cleanings to cavity fillings, our skilled team ensures your teeth are in top condition.
  • Dental Check-ups
At Dental Haus, our general dentists do a thorough check of the teeth and all surrounding structures – including your temporomandibular joint. Regular dental check ups are very important so that any oral problems can be caught early. Early preventative treatment not only results in better prognosis for the teeth, but it is also usually much more affordable than late stages of treatment such as root canal therapy or extraction with tooth replacement.
  • Dental Hygiene & Cleanings
Regular cleanings by our registered dental hygienists are important in order to catch any signs of gum disease. It is best to catch problems early so that we can be preventative rather than reactive. Preventative treatment usually results in better prognosis and more affordable treatment compared to treating later stages of disease.
  • Oral Cancer Checks
Every time your dentist does a general check of your oral health, they’re also looking out for any signs of oral cancer. Oral cancer can show up on the mouth, lips, tongue, or throat. If caught early enough, oral cancer can be successfully treated! At Dental Haus, we utilise the VELscope Enhanced Oral Screening System to help us visualize any abnormalities which may be indicative of oral cancer.
  • Gum Disease Treatment or Periodontal Therapy
Gum Disease or gingivitis is inflammation of the gums. This starts with plaque which forms on your teeth everyday. It is clear, contains bacteria, and sticks to the teeth. If it is not cleaned off properly with daily brushing and flossing it becomes hard and we call this calculus or tartar. Calculus cannot be removed with regular brushing and flossing, and causes the gums to become swollen, red and inflamed. Once we see the gums start to disappear, we normally also see the bone around the teeth start to disappear. This is called Periodontitis or Periodontal disease. This results in the teeth becoming loose and falling out. At Dental Haus, our general dentists and registered hygienists watch out for any signs of gingivitis or periodontitis. We try to catch it as early as possible, in order to have the best prognosis. Periodontal therapy typically involves cleaning the teeth below the gums and removing any calculus that is stuck on the teeth.
  • Dental Sealants
On the biting part of your back teeth are what we call tooth fissures – which are deep pits and grooves. Sometimes, these pits and grooves can be so small that it’s not possible to clean with a toothbrush. This can result in bacteria getting stuck and causing decay. To prevent this, we apply a dental sealant – a thin but protective layer of filling material which flows into the pits and grooves and prevents bacteria from getting into the fissures.
  • Fluoride Treatment
The outside part of your teeth is called enamel, which is the hardest substance of the human body. It mostly consists of hydroxyapatite which is a mineral that is also present in your bones. When your teeth are surrounded by acidic substances such as lemon water, coffee, energy drinks, soda, carbonated drinks - these hydroxyapatite minerals break down and essentially soften the enamel. This leads to decay and tooth wear. A fluoride treatment combines flouride with the broken-down minerals to form a new mineral called fluorapatite. This fluorapatite is stronger and more resistant to breaking down in acidic environments compared to hydroxyapatite. For patients that are opposed to fluoride for personal reasons, we offer a fluoride-free alternative treatment called nano-hydroxyapatite.
  • Nano-hydroxyapatite (Remin)
For patients that are opposed to fluoride for personal reasons, we also offer an alternative called Nano-hydroxyapatite. Nano-hydroxyapatite is hydroxyapatite which is made in a lab. It works to replace broken down hydroxyapatite to harden up the tooth once it has been softened by an acidic environment.
  • Night Guards
Bruxism or teeth grinding can result in loss of tooth structure. This can lead to very sensitive teeth, cracked or broken teeth, sore jaws or even a change in your normal bite pattern. Unfortunately, most grinding occurs at night when we are asleep. At Dental Haus, we can fabricate a night guard to help protect your teeth from the damage caused by nightly grinding.
  • Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMD)
TMD is a disorder of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) or the jaw joint. This jaw joint is what allows you to chew, swallow, speak, and more. Trauma, joint diseases such as arthritis, or even ill-fitting dentures can cause TMD. Usually, people with TMD feel pain around the ear or jaw joint. Sometimes a clicking, crunching, or popping noise can also be heard when opening and closing the mouth. Our general dentists can help diagnose TMD and create a treatment plan to help manage TMD.
  • Athletic Mouth Guards
Active children or even active adults who are involved in contact sports should have some sort of mouth guard to minimize risk of injury to their teeth, gums, lips, tongue, jaw, and face. Custom made mouth guards offer a better fit and are more durable than those bought online or over the counter.
  • Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) Treatment
Sleep apnea is a sleep disorder in which an individual repeatedly stops breathing throughout the night. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is specifically caused by the throat muscles relaxing and blocking the airway. Though they constantly stop breathing throughout the night they rarely wake up; however, this results in a very poor sleep and individuals often feel tired even after a full night’s sleep. At Dental Haus, our general dentists can help you identify if you are at risk of obstructive sleep apnea, inform you on potential treatment, and refer you to a specialist if necessary.
  • Family Dentistry
We prioritize your family's smiles. Our family dentistry services cater to patients of all ages, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for your loved ones that prioritizes oral health.
  • Cosmetic Dentistry
Enhance your smile with our cosmetic dentistry treatments. From teeth whitening to veneers, we are committed to giving you the confident, radiant smile you deserve.
  • Dental Bonding
Dental bonding involves directly bonding filling material to the tooth, with very minor to zero preparation or removal of any existing tooth structure. This is commonly used to fix cracks or fractures in the teeth, chips on the tips of the teeth, or to fix minor gaps between the teeth.
  • Gum Re-contouring
If you have a “gummy smile” due to excessive gingiva and you would like to adjust your gum line to show more teeth and less gum, we can help you by removing and re-contouring your gum line. The process is quite comfortable for the patient due to our use of lasers and some numbing to achieve this procedure.
  • Veneers
A veneer is a thin covering on the tooth that is used when you want to change slight discolouration that cannot be achieved by whitening; slight mis-alignment of the teeth instead of undergoing orthodontics; or even if you want to slightly change the shape or appearance of the front teeth. There are two different types of veneers. Composite veneers are done with filling material in one visit and porcelain veneers are made in the lab. These are stronger and much more aesthetic, but take more than one appointment.
  • Professional Teeth Whitening
At Dental Haus, we use the Opalescence Boost professional teeth whitening system. In just one hour your teeth can be up to 8 shades lighter. This system is formulated with higher water content compared to other systems which helps to prevent drying of the teeth and relapse. Potassium nitrate is also present in the formula to prevent any sensitivity. We also appreciate that this product is vegan and certified gluten free.
  • At home Teeth Whitening
For patients who would rather whiten at home we offer the Opalescence PF at home teeth whitening kits. Since at home kits use a lower concentration of whitening agent, it takes approximately 2-3 weeks to achieve the same results as in-office whitening. The lower concentration has the added benefit of decreasing the chance of tooth sensitivity, and having the kit at home allows you to maintain your desired shade.
  • Restorative Dentistry
Repair and restore your teeth with our restorative dentistry options. Whether you need crowns, bridges, or dental implants, we employ state-of-the-art techniques for lasting results.
  • Dental Crowns
A dental crown is a cap that covers the entire tooth. This is commonly done when a large portion of the tooth is missing either from decay or trauma. At Dental Haus, we produce beautiful white Zirconia crowns as well as Gold crowns depending on the patient’s preferences.
  • Dental Bridges
A dental crown is a cap that covers the entire tooth. This is commonly done when a large portion of the tooth is missing either from decay or trauma. At Dental Haus, we produce beautiful white Zirconia crowns as well as Gold crowns depending on the patient’s preferences.
  • Dental Fillings
Dental fillings are a dentist’s bread and butter. At Dental Haus, we remove all of the decay in your teeth and replace it with white filling material. This makes your teeth look brand new! At Dental Haus, we offer the Solea laser for dental fillings. Most cases using the laser do not require a needle to numb up the tooth first which makes it perfect for anyone afraid of needles or who do not like the sound of the dental drills.
  • Dental Implants
A dental implant is an option used to replace missing teeth. At Dental Haus, our general dentists may place your implant in office. In some cases, after assessment our general dentists may refer you to a specialist for implant placement.
  • Dental Inlays
A dental inlay is an indirect dental filling. Instead of using our traditional filling material which is placed during the same appointment; the lab makes a stronger filling which is then bonded into the tooth at the next appointment.
  • Dental Onlays
Dental onlays are similar to dental crowns or caps in the sense that they are made by a lab and cover some of the tooth. However, unlike a dental crown/cap, an onlay does not cover the entire tooth.
  • Dentures
Dentures are another form of tooth replacement. Whether you’re missing all of your teeth or just a few teeth, a denture can be utilised. Unlike implants or a dental bridge, which are not removed, a denture needs to be removed at night and regularly maintained.
  • Root Canal Therapy
When your tooth is infected either from decay or trauma, root canal therapy is an option. Instead of having to remove your tooth and worry about how to replace it, a root canal can save your tooth. Root canal therapy involves removing the infected pulp of the tooth, cleaning out any bacteria, and filling the tooth so that bacteria can no longer enter and re-infect the tooth.
  • Orthodontics
Achieve a straighter, healthier smile with our orthodontic services. From traditional braces to Invisalign, we offer personalized solutions to suit your needs.
  • Invisalign
Invisalign is one of the leading manufacturers of clear aligners. Clear aligners are an alternative to traditional orthodontic braces. Clear aligners utilize a number of trays that apply force to the teeth to slowly move them into the desired position. The benefit of clear aligners is that they have minimal visibility to the naked eye making them more aesthetically pleasing compared to traditional metal braces. Following completion of Invisalign treatment, a retainer is necessary in order to keep the teeth from reverting back to their previous mis-alignment.
  • Retainers
Once clear aligner treatment or orthodontic treatment is complete our general dentists can design custom retainers to make sure that your teeth don’t revert back to their original mis-alignment. Retainers can either be fixed or removable. A fixed retainer is where a wire is bonded to the teeth to keep them from moving. A removable retainer is eventually only worn at night.
  • Tooth extractions
Sometimes when a tooth is infected, has severe bone loss, or a fracture – the only option is tooth extraction. At Dental Haus, we believe that tooth extractions are a last resort only done if all other options to save your teeth have been exhausted.
  • Implants
A dental implant is an option used to replace missing teeth. At Dental Haus, our general dentists may place your implant in office. In some cases, after assessment our general dentists may refer you to a specialist for implant placement.
  • Emergency Dentistry
Dental emergencies can happen at any time. Trust Dental Haus for prompt and effective emergency dental care to relieve pain and address urgent issues. We understand that unforeseen things can happen, and that includes issues that may arise post-dental surgery. If you are in need of immediate dental assistance, please call us and we will open the office after-hours if exceptional emergency services are required.
  • Oral Sedatives
We understand that coming to the dentist can be stressful and anxiety provoking for some patients. Our mission at Dental Haus is to ensure that every individual that walks through our doors feels at ease in the dental practice. After consultation with our general dentists, they may decide to prescribe you an oral sedative to take prior to your next dental procedure. An oral sedative works to help you relax and feel calm while having your dental procedure done.
  • Other Options
We understand that coming to the dentist can be stressful and anxiety provoking for some patients. Our mission at Dental Haus is to ensure that every individual that walks through our doors feels at ease in the dental practice. Therefore, we have decided to introduce the Solea Laser into our practice. Many patients who are afraid of the dentist deal with a fear of injections or drilling sounds. The Solea Laser eliminates both of these things! Not only is the sound of the laser generally more palatable, patients do not require an injection while having procedures done with the Solea Laser.
  • Sedation Dentistry
Our sedation dentistry options ensure anxiety-free treatments for those seeking a more relaxed dental experience, promoting a stress-free visit.
  • Panoramic x-rays
A panoramic x-ray is an x-ray of the entire mouth and its surrounding structures. It is used to identify any abnormalities that may be in the jaw bones, in the sinuses, in the jaw joint and to assess impacted wisdom teeth.
  • Digital x-rays
Bitewings and periapical x-rays are smaller x-rays which are closer to the teeth. They are used to diagnose any infection in the tooth, bone loss or decay between the teeth.
  • Intraoral Cameras
At Dental Haus, we utilise intraoral cameras to take pictures of anything of concern so that the patient can see exactly what we see.
  • VELscope
The VELscope Enhanced Oral Screening System is used to help us visualize any abnormalities which may be indicative of oral cancer.
  • Solea All Tissue Laser
The Solea Laser is the first truly all-tissue laser. Unlike traditional lasers, which can only be used for soft tissue, the Solea laser cuts both soft and hard tissue. This allows us to now remove decay using this laser instead of using dental drills, which is optimal for any patients who fear the dental drill. Additionally, many procedures with the Solea laser can also be done without any injections which is ideal for any patient who is afraid of needles or dislike the feeling of being numb after a dental appointment.
